40 RNC ACTIVISTS GO TO TRIAL MONDAY, NOVEMBER 27 AT 9:30AM

(Philadelphia, PA) Through verbal and visual statements, activists arrested during the Republican Convention protests will wage their defense Monday in the largest trial yet for RNC defendants.

Expert witnesses to be called to the stand by R2K lawyers Tuesday, solidifying their arguments for "Outrageous Police Misconduct," "Prior Restraint," "Suppression of Evidence," and against the charge of "Possession of an Instrument of Crime"

WHO: Forty activists, arrested during the Republican National Convention (RNC) protests, are standing trial as a group in what is to be the largest and most politicized trial yet for R2K defendants. This group represents those arrested at Broad & Spruce on August 1st of this year.

WHAT: RNC Defendants will seek to highlight their trial with visual and verbal emphasis. The activists claim their arrests were political and therefore wish to conduct their trial in a consistent and appropriate manner.

WHEN: Monday, November 27th at 9:30AM

WHERE: The Philadelphia Criminal Justice Center (CJC) at 13th and Filbert Streets
